Description
About the artwork:Konstantinos Michalos belongs to a new artist generation, where personal expression prevails over a stylistic proposition, and thus his artwork is more empirical than depicting a certain technique. He expresses through his paintings his psychological drives as well as his philosophical, spiritual and social concepts.
The artwork Internment 1: The humankind is good by nature, not bad, said Rousseau. But why do we see so much badness around us, caused by humans and humans only? The individual is corrupted by society. The ordinary person naturally is virtuous and wants to be good and do good, says the philosopher. Do we agree that poorly formed societies are the only factor for our nastiness? It could be otherwise. We could be bad from the start. We will never find out what the chicken and what the egg is. What we agree upon is that in the subjective experience, countless societies of today imprison and restrict us, up to the deformation of persons who are serving prison time being innocent.
