Description

The artwork Landscape with a Church was created by Moscow  Artist Maria Mosunova- Korotkina in 1988. She was born in Moscow in 1965, studied with the famous Soviet artists S.P.Altunov and B.Monachova. In 2015 her artworks was presented at solo exhibition in the Palais Art Gallery of the Council of Europe. The painting Landscape with a Church is one of the artist’s early works and was painted in impressionistic manner. The composition of the picture is carefully thought out: conditionally there is division into the real world located in the low side of the painting. In the upper part of the picture the artist depicted heaven with clear sky, clouds and domes of churches. It’s interesting coloristic solution of the painting- clear and gentle tones of colour in the upper part of the painting and dark and heavy in the lower part. The painting is in excellent condition.
