Dmitriy Salov is well known Ukrainian portraitist and still life,  landscape painter. He works in the European realist tradition and he is a master of the treatment of light and shadow in a painting. This is a painting in which everything is in harmony: the pink dress, light white drop-down wrap, a jug with a bright green plant. The colours smoothly flow from one tone to another creating a romantic image of a beautiful young woman. The Artist attaches great importance to her a little sad huge blue eyes.
