Description
About the artwork: Konstantinos Michalos belongs to a new artist generation, where personal expression prevails over a stylistic proposition, and thus his artwork is more empirical than depicting a certain technique. He expresses through his paintings his psychological drives as well as his philosophical, spiritual and social concepts.’ The painting “The Birth”: Zarathustra says ‘you must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame; how could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes?’ To rise anew is an unplanned, unexpected event, the astonishing result of an experience or an encounter. Experiences often look ordinary at the first glance. But sometimes they take turns that leave us speechless. Rebirth can be desired and strived for, but it cannot be achieved by trying. It is a gift, a sudden burning down of the old. Born again is born without a skin.
