The MaLou Art Consulting & Gallery is delighted to present Afrodite Karamanli’s solo exhibition “Tα ρώ του έρωτα’’. The Opening of the exhibition on 13 April from 19.30 to 22.30.

Aphrodite Karamanli was born in Thessaloniki. She studied Decoration, Art History and Graphic Arts. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, a member of the Governing Board of the Hellenic Association of Fine Arts of North Greece and a member of the Greek Intellectual Property Organization which pertains to the Greek Ministry of Culture.

Aphrodite worked at the Gallery of the Hellenic Cultural Movement of Thessaloniki (1980 -1984) and later she was the managing director of the developing Gallery of Stavroupoli’s Municipality in Thessaloniki. During the Olympic Games of 2004 in Greece, she was responsible for the organization of international exhibitions in various home towns of Olympic winners with 700works from 35 countries (2000 – 2004).

Aphrodite Karamanli participated, with her own works, in various exhibitions in France, Belgium, the 2000 Biennale of Canada, as well as in Galleries of Thessaloniki, Athens, Crete and other cities in Greece. Her work has been exhibited in 20 individual and numerous group exhibitions.

In 2011 she participated in the exposition of the Museum of Instant Images School of VAN GOGH, in Tilburg, Netherlands, and was also awarded with the second prize by the judges of the Art Galleries of Russia (St. Petersburg). In 2013 she received the prize “Prize of Art” by art historians of Ozaka, Japan.

 

In 2014 Aphrodite Karamanli was elected to represent the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (EETE) at the 6th Artistic Symposium in Romania.

She has participated in Art-Athina 2015 and 2016. She was chosen to represent Greece in the 6th Biennale in Beijing 2015 with her work “Letters to Alexander the Great” – Thessaloniki. In 2016, participated and attended Master class in International Painting Symposium, Moscow with the theme: “Aristotle – on Colors”, color binding materials in Ancient Greek painting (egg tempera). Also her work was exhibited at the International Exhibition of UNESCO in Monaco 2016.

Aphrodite Karamanli is also one of the founders of all-Greek “Gallery of Colors’’.
